Cure Autism Now at the Rose Bowl

In one incredible Saturday under blue Southern California skies on April 22, 2007, the folks at Cure Autism Now and Autism Speaks led over 10,000 people on a fundraising walk that brought in $1.2 MILLION dollars! Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra was there to help and meet new people.

Kathy, Christine and Jes met up with some of our SoCal volunteers, Susan and Bill Baribault with their service dog, Bucky, and Sherri and Jessica Rottenbacher. We gave out bushels of brochures, created some amazing chalk art and built towers of blocks with some very cool kids.

We came back to Mammoth with a better understanding of our students with autism and an email from a mom who was booking some summer lessons! The entire event was a huge success!
