DSES Intern Diana Proemm

On January 5, 2004 Diana Proemm headed back to the University of Idaho in Moscow, ID. She goes back to studying recreational therapy with over 60 hours of practical experience teaching adaptive skiing under her belt! Diana was a huge asset to our program over the Christmas holidays and we will really miss her.

This was DSES's first intern and we are thrilled with how successful she was. We are trying to convince her to come back and do it again! Here she is with a gift from Disabled Sports (embroidery by Creative Embroidery), a zip up sweatshirt with our great logo on it!

Diana sums up her experience here; "Mammoth had amazing snow and amazing scenery! These things cannot compare to the generosity and hospitality of the DSES volunteers and staff, and most importantly the smiles on the students faces after lessons. I look forward to coming back someday. Thanks for the incredible opportunity!"

Volunteer, 'Hopper' (Tim Hop...also known as Skippy!) has shoveled the ramp and chipped the ice and now is putting a little snow melt on it.
DSES has taken on the responsibility of keeping this ramp accessible...like Adopt-A-Highway only it's Adopt-A-Rampway!
