Shannon Weinert - MASF Scholarship Skier

Mammoth local, Shannon Weinert, 10, participated in this year's 2003 California Special Sports program through a scholarship from Mammoth Adaptive Sports Foundation. Here are some pics of her and a note from her mom, Donna.

"Shannon's opportunity to ski in the special education program really increased her enjoyment of skiing. Initially, she was taken back by all the ski gear, so having so many days to get used to everything really helped her to just enjoy the sensation of skiing in the great outdoors. Mom was happy for her..........."
